I am a butterfly—

A metamorphosed creature,

Extraordinary, beautiful, and unique;

But also wild and free.

Flying through the air,

I am as light as the wind.

I see the world from many angles;

From many angles the world sees me.

I am fragile,

Yet very strong.

There is trouble all around me,

Yet I keep going on.

And when I do get discouraged

And think that life is not worth living,

I hear a little voice within me say—

Fly butterfly fly;

Again I fly once more.
