Introduction to Pole Dancing, Part I


Ladies, it was so- much- fun!  I definitely think that every woman regardless of age, shape or size
should try it!  Don't be shy Girls!!!   Strut that sexy side!  Step outside your box! ;-)

MEEEE--OOWW!!!!  

My instructor, Morocco, was totally awesome! 
She made us feel comfortable with loving ourselves.  
She showed us how to move in a cat-like fashion (slow and sensual). 
She showed us the importance of loving our bodies and embracing our curves!   
We each had a stage name which also added to the fun. 
Mine was Lolita, given to me by a good friend of mine to represent my sassy side! 

Pole dancing is so much more than swinging on a pole!  It's an art!  
Those women you see at the clubs make it look easy!  No wonder why they are so ripped! 
Poling requires a lot of upper body strength which means that you have to do a lot of  
ab and arm work!  So in class, we did a lot of pilates, crunches and stretching to slow, relaxing music.

I took a 4 week class and learned a lot in that time frame.  The fourth class was the recital where we
we got to strut our stuff and show off what we learned.  I danced to an oldie but goodie...
Ooh This Love, by Al B. Sure.  It was mine and my Sweetheart's song before he beat me to heaven.
My dance was dedicated to him so I worked it!

All in all, I give this class a thumbs up
Thank you to my online family for making me step outside of MY box and take this class.
It makes my journey for self enlightenment that much more fulfilling!!
