I am so grateful for all my friendships. Yes, even the one’s that appear to royally suck, because in the relationships that have brought me pain I have learned some valuable lessons that have helped align me with ME. How else could I have learned these lessons if it were not for those that challenged me to be better?

Each individual has served a significant purpose in my life. These are people that have agreed to play a specific role so that I may learn and grow. Not all of these roles are pleasant (to be honest, some are downright raunchy), but because of these relationships, I have ultimately become a stronger and a more loving, forgiving person. Every friend, every boyfriend, every love that has come and gone has aided in sculpting me.

For those of you that are questioning the relationships in your life…

Think higher. Right now you may be sitting in a toxic stew which is your negative emotion. Try to think above those emotions. Above those emotions lies a clear space where the fog is lifted. A place that doesn’t know jealousy or revenge. Take a peek into YOUR world with a clear head.

What do you see? Is the situation really as bad as it appears? What are you learning from this relationship? Is this lesson being repeated by various people in your life? Are you being honest with yourself?

Sometimes ego plays a large part in our decisions to move on but leaving a situation, doesn’t necessarily free you from it.  By stepping outside yourself and looking in, you can put your ego aside and look at the bigger picture. It’s not all about you, yet it is all about you.

Remember, it’s ok, for our friends to move forward on their journey. It’s ok for our friends to make choices for themselves even if you don‘t agree.

We are all granted free will! Sometimes we move in different directions, and that’s ok too! Be grateful for the experience even if it seems like there is no possible solution. You are already blessed!
